Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 is a first look at Kaspersky's next incarnation of its security suite.
Please note, this is a beta. And a very early beta, at that. The interface isn't finished, there's no official information about what's new, and the build has both Application Verifier and its trace logs enabled. Which means the program is considerably slower than usual because (amongst other things) it's regularly logging details of what it's doing, to help diagnose any problems which might emerge at a later date.
This isn't a program for the casual or novice user, then. It may crash your PC, or damage your files, and there's no guarantee it'll keep you safe from malware, either. Only install the program if you're a Kaspersky fan with plenty of Windows experience and would just like a quick look at what might be coming next.
Sounds like you? Then you'll find a fairly straightforward installation process which doesn't force you to reboot when it's complete. And an interface which looks (currently, at least) much like Internet Security 2012, so you'll probably feel at home right away.
Elsewhere, Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 beta appears to be offering simpler, more streamlined protection. There is no Safe Run option, no Proactive Defence, while instead the behavioural monitoring System Watcher seems to be taking greater responsibility for detecting malware and keeping you safe.
